A bit about me…

After graduating from UT-Memphis in 1994, I went straight into the PT world choosing to work with individuals with chronic pain.  At about this same time, I discovered what was referred to as “Women’s Health Physical Therapy”, a specialty area of Physical Therapy which addressed issues related to Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. This opened up a whole new awareness of the musculoskeletal role the pelvic floor plays in overall function, care, and BEING. The more men and women I saw for these conditions the more I developed a greater respect for the need to be really present with the body…to begin a dialogue with the body…initiated by awareness of BREATH and habit. This is an area of our body that when injured, traumatized, dysfunctional or painful is difficult to share or discuss, even with our healthcare providers. There is therapeutic benefit to being able to discuss and share issues related to pelvic floor function/pain.

My intention is to empower you in a dialogue with your body that supports freedom in function and comfort with an emphasis on education and mindful awareness.

I have been in private practice since 2006 in Nashville, TN and am a member of:

  • Tennessee Physical Therapy Association
  • American Physical Therapy Association
  • Women’s Health Section of the APTA
  • Co-founder of Nashville Alliance for Sexual Health (now Tennessee Alliance for Sexual Health/TNASH)
